This is great!

Great concept, execution and style. Very nice. The shading on the guy is a little muddy but I love the idea and how the light and dark are separated remind me of cubism. The way the light diminishes reminds me of how shading in cubism is executed as well. Under that umbrella looks like a swell place to be. Very good work.

love the repeatition of horizontal lines, the curves, and the verticle fingers. Nicely done. Love the style

Pretty nice!

Really nice piece. Good soft shadows, and I love the classical, "Pisces" lips. It's a detail that really goes a long way. The way it's rendered reminds me of a classical style except with some more modern flair. The composition, the blue hair, and the eyes are certainly more modern ideas. I think all of it works, except the eyes. The extremely large, bright, and reflective eyes feel out of place. They look almost pasted on there like doll eyes. Although the shadow added under the eyes certainly help integrate them more into the face, but I think the idealized shine, size of the shine (Since the highlight is very intense) and size make them stick out. I notice that the irises are copied and pasted while everything has a much more natural, asymmetrical assemble to it. That could be another reason.

Overall though. this is some really fantastic work, and what I said above is really just nit-picking.

I really do agree with you, I definitely learnt from my mistake of making the eyes 'anime-ish', my newer work has more realistic eyes. I was stubborn when it came to eyes, didn't want to let go of the anime eyes.

I might go back to this piece someday and the first thing I will fix is these crazy eyes :P

Welp

Theres some very nice coloring in here thats for sure. Overall it looks pretty great! The only problem is the arms and hands of the character are incorrect. The are both too small. The wrist also seems to just taper straight into the hands. It looks like the only parts of the hands that can bend are the fingers.

Other than that though, it's solid. The colors again are very well done.

The funny thing is that about half way through this picture I noticed that the pose is physically impossible. If you go to a mirror and try to hold something across your back like that it won't even work, the lowest you can get it is the back of your neck.

Thanks for the comment though, I'll make sure the hands are right on my next picture.
